How to switch from Vimeo On Demand to Sellfy
Vimeo On Demand closes on November 20, 2026. Move your videos and audience in six steps.
1. Export your email list and sales
In your On Demand page's Settings, open Audience and click Export email addresses. It only includes viewers who opted in. Download your sales CSV from Payments too, before November 20.
2. Download your videos
Turn on downloads under Library > Share > Viewer permissions, or for all videos in Upload Defaults. Vimeo doesn't support bulk downloads, so save them one at a time, or use your original files if you still have them.
3. Set up your Sellfy store
Start a 14-day free trial, no credit card needed, and connect PayPal or Stripe. Viewers can stream or download, and files can be up to 10GB on Starter.
4. Add your videos, or let AI do it
Upload your videos as products. MP4 is recommended. Or ask Claude or ChatGPT to create the drafts through Sellfy's MCP server.
5. Import your email list
Keep only the email column from Vimeo's export. On a paid plan, upload it as a one-column CSV under Email marketing > Import.
6. Tell your buyers, then let Vimeo close
Buyers lose access to their Vimeo purchases on November 20 and can't transfer them, so email your audience your Sellfy link. If your final payout hasn't arrived, contact Vimeo Support.
