1. Export your orders and subscribers
In FastSpring, go to Reports > Data Exports and create an Order Export and a Subscriptions export as CSV files. A custom export lets you include customer contact details.
2. Gather your product files
FastSpring hosts your downloads and doesn't document a way to get them back, so collect your original files before you leave.
3. Set up your Sellfy store
Start a 14-day free trial, no credit card needed, and connect PayPal or Stripe. Sellfy isn't a merchant of record, so you file your own taxes, and EU VAT can be added automatically.
4. Add your products, or let AI do it
Recreate your products with prices and files, including license keys and subscriptions. Or ask Claude or ChatGPT to create the drafts through Sellfy's MCP server.
5. Import your email list
Keep only buyers who agreed to hear from you. On a paid plan, upload them as a one-column CSV under Email marketing > Import.
6. Re-subscribe your customers, then give notice
FastSpring can move card subscriptions, but it takes about 10 weeks and PayPal ones can't move. Invite subscribers to re-subscribe, then send 30 days' written notice.
