How to switch from Ecwid to Sellfy
Move your store in six steps, and keep your Ecwid store open until your Sellfy store is ready.
1. Export your products and orders
In Ecwid, go to Catalog > Products, select your products and click Export Selected to get a CSV with names, descriptions and prices. Export your order history from My Sales > Orders too.
2. Export your subscribed customers
In My Sales > Customers, filter by Email Marketing Status > Subscribed, then choose Mass Update > Export. That keeps only the buyers who agreed to receive your emails.
3. Set up your Sellfy store
Start a 14-day free trial, no credit card needed, and connect PayPal or Stripe. Unlike Ecwid's Starter plan, every Sellfy plan lets you sell digital products and subscriptions.
4. Add your products, or let AI do it
Copy your product details from the Ecwid CSV and upload your own copies of your files. Or give the CSV to Claude or ChatGPT and let it create the drafts through Sellfy's MCP server.
5. Import your email list
On a paid plan, upload your subscribed customers as a one-column CSV under Email marketing > Import. Sellfy reviews each list within 1–3 business days.
6. Move your domain, then close Ecwid
If you use Ecwid's Instant Site, disconnect your domain in Website > Domain and point it to Sellfy. If Ecwid is embedded on your site, swap it for Sellfy's embed. Then close your Ecwid account.
