Our beautiful model with floor length hair, Alena sitting on the floor displaying her hair in the best possible ways, showing how ultra long and thick it is, while it´s flowing around everywhere, literally creating a pool of hair on the floor, making this a very unique and great video!

What is a remastered RealRapunzels video?
When a RealRapunzels video has been remastered, it means that we have spent many hours improving this video's quality to make it even better than it originally was!
Our classic RealRapunzels videos are amazing, and they are timeless!
In other words, we have made something great even better!
This is how we remaster our videos:

Equipment: We use high-end hardware with ultra fast CPU's and GPU's combined with extremely powerful graphic enhancing software to greatly enhance and improve our videos in all possible ways.

Technology: We only use the best of the best when it comes to technology, and all our software which are used to enhance our videos are powered by Artificial Intelligence and powerful algorithms.

Below you will see how we remaster our videos. This is not information that is important to you as our customer, it's just to give you an insight of how we remaster our videos and can be exciting to read for those interested in technology.

The different steps and our recipe for remastering:

STEP 1: We find our sourcefile for the video we want to enhance, so that we can work with the video from the ground up, without any artifacts or compression to ensure that the quality of the video is at its very best.

STEP 2: The sourcefile is imported into the professional video editing software that we are using.

STEP 3: The video is color graded in forms of improving lighting and colors as well as changing the color tone/temperature if needed.

STEP 4: If there's any sound in the video that can be improved, we also improve the sound.

STEP 5: We then use a special and very powerful software-plugin to denoise the video, which is removing high ISO-noice, which cameras digitally create when filming in low-light. This makes it much more pleasing to watch and everything looks much better, and this is without a doubt one of the most important steps of the remastering.

If the video has any flickering in it, this is also the step where we use another powerful software-plugin to remove the flickering.

STEP 6: After removing noise and/or potentially flickering, we render the file by using powerful high-end graphics processing units.

STEP 7: After the video is rendered, we export it into a ProRes file. This is a very large file, usually several tens of GB in size. This is so that we don't lose any quality throughout the workflow and remastering process.

STEP 8: We now import the video into a super powerful video enhancing and upscaling software. This software uses extremely powerful artificial intelligence and pushes our computers to their absolute limit. 

This process often takes 12-36 hours PER SINGLE VIDEO, depending on the video.

If you have heard about upscaling before, you have might heard about the traditional way of upscaling which is just increasing the resolution of the video project. This does not increase the real resolution of the video and the video will most likely not look a lot better, and it will most likely not be visible to the eye.

However, we do not use traditional upscaling. We use AI-powered upscaling which is actually increasing the resolution of the video.

This means that a 720p video can be turned into a 1080p video, and a 1080p video can even be scaled up to 4K, and if the conditions are absolutely perfect, we can even upscale it to 8K detail, although the video was just a Full HD video to start with. This in itself blows our mind, and the future is truly here now!

STEP 9a: After this is done, we compress the size of the files without compressing the quality, so that the file sizes are small enough to be downloaded.

Because of this, the files are not any bigger than before, but they have much higher quality. This means that you get the best of both worlds as the files are no bigger than before, but holds so much more detail!

STEP 9b: In most cases regarding remastering, we are now able to compress the videos to a smaller file size than the original video which was posted years ago, but with much higher detail! That means you can watch for example 4K-video quality in a Full-HD file size, that's even smaller than before? Some might ask, how is this possible? We asked ourself that question too when first seeing this, and the answer can be described in one word: Technology. The technology are simply much better now than 3-5 years ago, and this gives video enhancing a huge advantage!

Let us show you a simple example:

4 years ago, you might had to download a 900MB file when watching a RealRapunzels video that was approximately 10 minutes long.

Today, you can download that video, but in a remastered version with much higher quality and better viewing experience, while the file size might only be about half the size!

In some cases, the file sizes are the same size as before, but with much higher quality. 

In some cases, the file sizes are a bit bigger, but this is only if that is strictly necessary to keep ultra high video quality, and the files are rarely bigger than the original file.

Now you can watch this video and many other RealRapunzels classics in higher quality than before with better lighting, colors and resolution.

Technology and very long hair is truly a great combination!
