KVP iPhone Newborn Lightroom Presets

Congratulations on your newborn! What an exciting time it is! As a new mom, I understand you are going to be wanting to take many photos of your new baby. As a photographer, I also understand the camera does not like the baby's skin coloring. It often makes the baby too orange, too dark, or blotchy. I have been editing newborns for many years, and even used to work for Bella Baby in the hospital. I have created these presets for some quick results in the Lightroom mobile app to be able to share lighter and brighter photos. 

I also made these presets for families that can not hire a newborn photographer during our recent COVID-19 pandemic. I have created a youtube video on how to set up and take some newborn photos at home. if you are purchasing this after the pandemic, these are also great for the everyday photos that you are sharing with friends and family.

The first preset is a standard one with the saturation brought down. Many babies have jaundice or yellow/pink tones in their skin after birth. I find I frequently have to bring the saturation down for newborns so this is my first "go-to" preset. If the baby looks too white or washed out, then there is a second preset that is more saturated. That is also better for outdoor photos and or ones with lots of natural light near the window. And then I always love a great detail shot or the baby's face in black and white and that is included as well. The presets frequently are all you need for your image and a slight adjusting to your brightness. However, sometimes you will need to adjust the colors and white balance more.
