Crate Digger's Paradise (sample pack)
With Bassadelic's Crate Digger's Paradise you get two distinct sample packages:
SIDE A.. The Crates (Crunchy & Vintage Vinyl Funk Samples)...
& SIDE B.. After the Crates (Modern & Funky Underground Hip Hop)...
Who’s it for? Electronic / hip hop producers who AREN’T messing around, and want a serious amount of authentic retro vinyl-gold in their breakbeat/funk/hip hop arsenal NOW. If you’re into Flying Lotus, Teebs, J Dilla, George Clinton; or ANY of the middle-ground that exists between funk, hip hop, and wonky, then THIS is something you’ll likely regret not looking into some more.
Basically, you get a virtual but thorough experience of diggin through the crates – first, a pack authentic and ready-to-go vintage funk weapons; NEXT, you get a modern-day hip hop-centered re-envisioning of what those funk-weapons might be used for.. So you’re getting two packages in one…
Here’s what’s on SIDE A: (or, the first folder) As a crate-digger, you have to be tireless in your never-ending quest to find vintage vinyl gold that no one else has. You have to have trained ears, and know what sounds right.
With this package, you get a digital version of the crate-digging experience, as you get a sample package with a ton of samples that REALLY DO sound as though they were cut from CLASSIC funk trax from back in the day, influenced by everyone in the 1970s funk game, from George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic to Sly & The Family Stone .. (a bunch of delicious breakbeats, instrumental improvisations, melodic riffs of instruments that would have been used back in the day, as well as retro synthesized loops that could be employed to recreate the time when funk music got turned on to the electro-funk side of things. It’s funk, it’s funky, it’s got a hell of a lot of soul, and it’s PERFECT for cutting up to make authentic modern-day sample-based music (but with this package, you don’t have to worry about paying royalties to the artists your sampling, because these samples are ALL completely original and royalty-free!)
Here’s what’s on SIDE B: After a well-trained crate-digger has amassed a steady collection of gold, they take it home, listen to it for hours upon hours, and then they cut out the best chunks. Well, this whole package is about having the best chunks ready to go… With Side B you get a bunch of rhythmic weapons designed for Dilla-style and Detroit-style hip hop production… You get a hell of a lot of snares, claps, snaps, kicks, drum loops, as well as some bass one-shots, too!! Some of them are cut from the first sample pack, but the majority of them exist on their own, new and original. They really do sound as authentic as possible, and there is actually nothing on the market quite like this; this “two-sided vinyl-esque” sample package is as singular and special as possible, and it delivers. And instead of paying $40 for one, you get them both at once for WAY cheaper.
Can we have a rundown of what’s in this? A track-listing?

SIDENOTE/RANT ABOUT THIS SAMPLE PACK (& OTHERS): Don’t be fooled by the price – I’m not charging less because I don’t think this set of samples isn’t worth much – I’m not charging a metric ton because I simply have no reason to gauge anyone. And, well… that’s it. I’ve seen some well-known sample pack companies charging HUNDREDS for their samples – hoping that the customers are naive and might think, “Wow, HUNDREDS? It must be great!” Don’t fall for that hype. Please. You’re wasting your money. At very least, if you don’t buy this sample package from me, that’s OK – but PLEASE don’t waste your hard-earned HUNDREDS on some “ultra-comprehensive” (but super generic) nonsense EDM sample pack that’s really only going to disappoint. I mean, think about it for a second: how many tracks/albums are you going to have to sell JUST to break even on something that cost you weeks (or months) of salary? ….Just saying…

This sample contains loops to construct your own bounce tracks, with basslines, percussion lines, and complete beats to alter or use intact, however you decide. There are also one-shot percussive hits, so you can create your own beats from scratch, ranging from 606s - 707s - to 808s ! The style of N.O. bounce developed in the early 90s and it's infectious and danceable as it is diverse, with often extremely sexual lyrics to basic breaks that sound that they're at about half-tempo (100ish BPM instead of 200ish BPM) and there's also sissy bounce, which is an extremely popular style within the realm of bounce musical culture.
So get ready to get the dancefloor twerking to your new bounce jams with these authentic samples, made with drum machines that were used to create some of the original Southern hip hop / bounce tracks - as well as drum sounds that are more modern as well. The loops are all around 19 seconds long, and many of them build up at the end before looping (for when you really want to get people going crazy in the club). You might want to get some new sub woofers for this, so you can really make the walls shake as you play these samples out. Playing these with laptop speakers will only give you half of an idea about how these sounds really play, as this package contains some HEAVY BASS !!!
ALL FILES ARE IN .WAV FORMAT
THIS PACKAGE CONTAINS:
-- 14 Bounce Basslines @ 200bpm (19 seconds long each) (some can be used at half-tempo, rendering them 100bpm to give more options to the producer
-- 22 Full Bounce Beats @ 200bpm (19 second long each) (again, many can be used at half-tempo: 100bpm)
-- 12 Bounce Percussion Loops (without bass) (19 seconds long each) (also, some usable at half-tempo: 100bpm)
-- 14 One-shot drum samples, ranging from 606s, 707s, and 808s (including Kicks, Hats, Snare and Clap and Crash samples)
And of course, my personal favorite sound in the world, the 808 electric cow-drum, is included. How could I leave that out? ... OH - and BTW, this is THE ONLY package out there of it's kind, which is what we're all about at Bassadelic.com. All these samples are completely legal to use in your recordings.
These samples are all royalty-free. You can use these samples however you want - in both commercial as well as personal applications; however, you can NOT resell these samples.
THANKS! And Happy mixin' !

Mixing and making tracks became more than an obsession for me, but I always needed to sample vocals from rap songs, because I didnt want to use my own voice. I soon learned that I was definitely not the only person in that position. The problem, obviously, is that you have to look around forever to find the right rap vocal, and not to mention, if you make ANY money off of it, youre kinda... breaking the law....
So, I put this together, and another fantastic bag of secret sample weapons was born! So, I hope that they are of some use to you in all of your footworking and juking and ghettohouse production desires. From aggressive chants about destruction in the dance circle; colloquial recitations of different popular moves in the footwork scene in Chicago - ghost, drillin, boppin, mikes, just to name a few of MANY; as well as HUGE RANGE of other genre-related & energetic phrases & words - this really is the sample pack to help your dance trax.
Even if youre not STRICTLY a producer of ghettotech/footwork material, but want to introduce a little bit of jukey / footwork influence into your glitch hop and trap tunes, these samples will DEFINITELY help.
There are a number of variations between tone and recording quality in these samples, but they are all perfectly suited as vocals for your next footwork track, as they definitely hold up against a vast majority of pre-existing vocal-driven 160 bpm tunes. Some sound like they were recorded in a basement in Chicago in 1998, some of them (MANY) sound super hi-fi, many of them are pre-cut to a footwork rhythm, and still some of them have a funky mechanized dual-pitched voice effect that is INSTANTLY recognizable in the 160 dance music community as a classic vocal technique. Instant funk. A few of them even sound like Afrika Bambaataa, which is fun. Im sure theres something in here to suit your needs; there are 442 different samples. So if you want to spice up your bassy grooves vocally, you dont need to look around any longer, youve come to the right place.
Bassadelic.com Presents a new vocals package thats probably going to heighten (and worsen) your obsession with fast dance music from Chiraq. Not that thats a bad thing, but thats what probably gonna happen.. A lot of these vocals could provide the entire backbone to a new hit track almost immediately...
