·         FISMA - The Federal Information Security Management Act is United States legislation that defines a comprehensive framework to protect government information, operations and assets against natural or man-made threats.

·         HIPAA - HIPAA is the United States Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. There are two sections to the Act. HIPAA Title I deals with protecting health insurance. HIPAA Title II deals with the standardization of healthcare-related information systems.   It is most concerned with Hospitals and the health care world but however is commonly mistaken by the lay man as Health Information rather than insurance.
