Humanistic Perspective

The Humanistic Perspective discusses self actualization and the holistic view. Selfactualization refers to our inherent tendency to develop and reach our true potentials. The holistic view means that a person's personality is more than the sum of its individual parts; instead, the individual parts form a unique and total entity that functions as a unit.

Based on your readings and the definition, how would childhood bullying affect the child’s self-actualization? Now based on your readings from last week, take the holistic view and your response from the above question. Would the child have the same feelings and views of bullying now that the child is an adult? Would the effects change if as an adult, he now just encountered bullying in the workplace?
