BSA 413 Week 1 Individual:
Understanding Elements of Service Strategy

Select a medium- or large-sized business in a
specific field with an in-house IT department.

Answer the following questions for that
organization:


  • What are 5
    IT serv0ices that should be offered?

  • Who should
    each of these services be offered to?

  • Who might
    compete with the internal IT department to provide each service?

  • How would
    the service create value? How would each customer measure that value?

  • What are the
    basic elements of a business case for the development and use of that
    system? (1 to 3 sentences)

  • How could
    the performance of the service be measured?



 

BSA 413 Week 2 Individual: Create a
Service Catalog

Select a medium- or large-sized business or
organization of your choice. This should be different than the organization you
are using for your team project.

Develop a service catalog for
the organization covering at least 5 services the organization would use and
offer. Use any appropriate format, but be sure to include sufficient detail
about the catalog as a whole as well as each specific service.

Include the following elements
at a minimum:


  • A general
    list of at least five services on a single page

  • Specific
    details on each service


    • The name of the service

    • A brief description of the service

    • What the service provides and requires

    • Any sensitive data or usage restrictions on the service

Strategy and Service Design Stage

Develop a
draft section of the material for the Service Strategy and Service Design
portion of the final paper.

Provide
 sufficient
information to fully cover the required information. You will revise this based

Transition Plan

Locate a
case study on a service transition in the University Library or on the
Internet.

Develop
 a
transition plan that matches the elements in the case study. Include an
appendix on how you would improve the case study if it were repeated.

Note. 
You
may use sample transition plans you locate in your search, but the plan itself
must be your own, not just copied from someone else. Properly cite any usage of
elements you find, such as those at 

business or government sites.

document for a system of your choice at the same organization. This may be from
a specific case study, knowledge you have, or general research and reasonable

Operation

paper.

Provide sufficient
information to fully cover the required information. You will revise this based
on feedback from the instructor, but it should be comprehensive and

ITIL V3 Foundation (ITV3F)”

Complete
 the
“TestPrep ITIL V3 Foundation (ITV3F)” module in Skillport.

Submit
 your
score to your instructor.

Write 
a
200- to 300-word reflection explaining where you need to focus addition
preparation to successfully pass the ITIL® exam.

 

 

BSA 413 Week 5 Learning Team: Continual
Service Improvement

Develop a
3,000- to 3,500-word report for the CIO of your chosen organization.

This report should cover the material from the previous weeks,
providing a comprehensive look at how the organization you have selected can
apply ITIL®.

Include
 a
final section with material for the Continual Service Improvement portion of
the final paper.

Integrate 
this
section and the previous sections, taking into account feedback from your
instructor.

Review the
final paper, making sure it meets all the requirements listed in the Week
1 Learning Team Preparation Task.

Report Presentation

Prepare a
presentation to executive management at the organization you chose of the need
to make the changes recommended in the paper.

The presentation must include appropriate graphics, and may be in a Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation
format.

Note:

students submit a presentation that must include detailed speaker's notes or
