Part 1
Choose two lesson plans from the “SIOP Lesson Plans and Activities.” Write a 250-500 word evaluation of each lesson. Your evaluations should address the following:
• Do you see sufficient integration of SEI strategies?
• Is academic vocabulary addressed?
• What supports the instruction of vocabulary?
Be sure to include links to the lesson plans in your evaluation for your instructor.

Allocate at least 6 hours in the field to support this assignment.
Spend time observing at least one content area classroom that services ELLs in a Title 1 setting. Let your mentors know that you are observing the implementation of SEI strategies.
In 500-750 words, summarize and reflect upon your observations within the classroom or classrooms that you observed highlighting on the SEI strategies utilized and the accommodations the instructor made during instruction for the cultural differences of the learners. Part 3
Create a 10-15 slide PowerPoint presentation that you could deliver to your colleagues highlighting effective SEI strategies while being mindful of cultural influences on learning. Choose 5-7 SEI strategies that could be used in a classroom with students for whom English is an additional language as well as English-only students to promote language and content. How could these strategies be more effective if instructors were to take into account some of the theoretical language acquisition principles mentioned in your required reading?
Include presenter’s notes, a title slide, in-text citations, and a reference slide that contains at least three sources from the required readings or your research.
