Caribbean 'Green' Travel: Your Choices Make a Difference
This documentary film is a production of the Center for Responsible Travel (CREST), based in Washington, D.C. It is 45 minutes long and will debut in the Spring of 2016. It highlights many exemplary tourism practices we found on four Caribbean Islands: Aruba, the Dominican Republic, Grenada and Jamaica. These practices differ from the mass tourism of cruise ships and huge beachfront hotels, which typically bring little benefit to the islands' economies and their people. The examples shown here are different. They preserve the islands' tropical environments, and enrich and empower their people, while offering tourists unique and authentic vacation experiences.
