Sometimes a 'workout' is not necessarily what our body & mind needs. Sometimes we just need the space to allow the body to be, to catch up with ourselves, & work with our breath.

These three tutorials provides exactly that, where the focus is to 'undo' what we do not need, reconnect with our Centre, & begin to work with those most common areas where we hold tension: The Upper Body, The Hip Flexors & The Hamstrings.

Once unnecessary tension has been released, we can begin to find where our energy is most useful for a given movement.

Tutorial 1 - The Upper Body (57 Minutes):

Standing to Centre . Release & Connect with your Mat . Work with the Breath . Floating Arms . Leg Slides, Lift & Lower . Shoulder Drops . Chicken Wings . Arm Openings . Thoracic Rotation in . Quadruped . Rest Position . Roll Up with Hammy Stretch . Standing to Re-centre .

Tutorial 2 - The Hip Flexors (57 Minutes):

Standing looking at relationship of Hip Flexors with the whole . Establish how habitual postural patterns can exacerbate short hip flexors & associated muscle imbalaces . Work through some specific stretches to open the hip flexors . Gain understanding of how to stretch effectively . 
Look at the effect short hip flexors can have within some of the Classical Matwork exercises, & how once lengthened, these exercises are transformed . Understand how reguar specific & effective hip flexor stretches, along with changes in daily movement patterns can hugely influence how the body works as one fully integrated whole.

Tutorial 3 - The Hamstrings (50 Minutes):

Standing to understand the effect the hamstrings have upon the whole . Find the all important balance & relationship of the main body weights with the feet . Establish how habitual postural patterns can exacerbate short hamstrings & associated muscle imbalaces . Work through some specific stretches to open the hamstrings . Gain understanding of how to stretch effectively . Look at the effect short hamstrings can have within some of the Classical Matwork exercises, & how once lengthened, these exercises are transformed . Understand how reguar specific & effective hamstring stretches, along with changes in daily movement patterns can hugely influence how the body works as one fully integrated whole.
