TUTORIAL 1 - Focus On: Release The Upper Body (57 mins)

Welcome to my one hour Tutorial with focus on release of the upper body & its relationship with the mind & body as a whole. Once purchased, this is available for you to download & practise/view as many times as you wish.

This forms one in a series of three specialised Tutorials on 'Release', the other two focus on the hip flexors & the hamstrings.

Sometimes a 'workout' is not necessarily what our body & mind needs. Sometimes we just need the space to allow the body to be, to catch up with ourselves, & work with our breath.

This tutorial provides exactly that, still adhering the fundamental Pilates Principles.

The focus is to 'undo' what we do not need. To reconnect with our Centre, to open the whole front line of the body, with attention to freeing the areas we hold tension.

Once unnecessary tension has been released, we can begin to find where our energy is most useful for a given movement.

So join me for a fully instructed hour of movement, letting go of what is not useful to us, & moving the mind & body as one fully integrated whole.

Exercises included are:

  • Standing to Centre & Connect
  • Release & Connect with your Mat
  • Work with the Breath
  • Floating Arm
  • Leg Slides, Lift & Lower
  • Shoulder Drops
  • Chicken Wings
  • Arm Openings
  • Thoracic Rotation in Quadruped
  • Rest Position
  • Roll Up with Hammy Stretch
  • Standing to Centre

If you have any specific problems you would like to work through, I offer 1:1 Training via Skype, which is a great way to connect & troubleshoot anything related to your own individual & uique mind & body.  A perfect opportunity to receive further support & understanding where needed.

Alternatively come join one of my weekly online classes, either live streamed via Skype or take the recorded version, all available to purchase here in my Training Resources Shop.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to help.

With love,
