Originally from South Manchester (UK), Jon Brooks studied music at Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge) and obtained a Master's degree in Composition for Film and Television at Kingston University (London). He then worked as an in-house composer in Malaysia for six years. As a professional composer specializing in film, television, advertising, sonic branding, animation series and corporate videos, Jon's passion lies in writing dramatic and emotive film and television scores. In addition to performing on stage with Richard Clayderman and auditioning for a boy band with Nigel Martin-Smith, Jon has also played at the Royal Albert Hall, Kuala Lumpur's Twin Towers, and the Vatican in Rome. Also, he performed for the Queen during her Jubilee Tour in London. Jon composes and produces music and audio from his Stockport recording studio using Logic Pro X as his digital audio workstation (DAW).

Since my mum is a graduate of The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester and used to teach piano... there is no doubt that I absorbed some of my influences even before I was born. From the age of 6 she encouraged me to learn the piano, and at the age of 8 I started playing the French Horn. My involvement with musical and theatrical productions continued throughout school, college and university. Outside of formal education I was obsessed with purchasing film and TV soundtracks. I even remember asking my first piano tutor to teach me TV theme tunes.

As I was writing music for a GCSE Music class, a friend mentioned that my compositions had a film-like quality. That was when I became passionate about pursuing a career in music and realized it was the path I wanted to follow. I knew it would be a difficult and demanding journey, but I was determined to make my dream a reality. I was also lucky to have the support of my parents, who helped make it possible for me to pursue my dreams. I am very grateful to them.
