Big Ag salary guide (2014 - 2016)

The Midwest Center for Investigative Reporting reviewed regulatory filings and annual reports of eight of the world’s largest agribusiness companies between 2014 and 2016. The companies included in the analysis were American companies Archer Daniels Midland, Bunge, Dow Chemical, DuPont Pioneer, Monsanto, German companies BASF and Bayer and Swiss company Syngenta. Private companies, such as Cargill and Louis Dreyfus, are not included because they do not have to release executive compensation information. About the data: The salary guide was compiled by entering information from proxy statements filed with the SEC, annual reports and executive compensation reports from each of the companies. For some totals, the companies rounded the numbers, so each component of executive compensation did not add exactly to the total in the form. Great care was taken to ensure the accuracy of the data, but it's possible that mistakes were made. Please let us know if you find any errors in the salary guide. All numbers are in U.S. dollars. For foreign companies, exchange rates were calculated using x-rates.com based on Dec. 31 of the reporting year.
