Motherhood in the Scriptures

Nine stories of motherhood, as found in the scriptures. These cards tell stories of adoption, infertility, single motherhood, traumatic birth, parenting disagreements between spouses, fear for the safety of children, loss of a child and, above all, the bravery and commitment of mothers. Through these stories we can clearly see the way God guides and cares for mothers in all circumstances.

I created these cards as a way to celebrate Mother's Day. Read these cards with your family for a Mother's Day lesson, give them as gifts to a ministering sister, or study these stories yourself. These mothers turned to the Lord through difficult, long days and they remind us that we can too.
