Double Helix was the name given to a wonderful project which toured the UK several years ago. It involved collaborations between some of the country’s top jazz musicians (including Annie Whitehead, Phil and Tom Bancroft) and folk musicians including concertina virtuoso Alistair Anderson and whistle/flute ace Brian Finnegan. It was a tour that helped shape me as a musician. It opened my eyes to new ways of thinking and set me on my musical voyage of discovery and a career full of wonderful collaborations, beautiful meetings and above all, fun!
