Melody comes to us today with straight hair a few inches past her shoulders. And today she has asked that we shave her head. All salons and barbershops were still closed so this cut is done in my apartment with Jessa as the guest barber. Jessa is not a trained barber but she learned quickly. She uses inverted Oster 76 clippers at the front. First bangs emerge but this continues far into the side. After the length is established, everything below is buzzed to the skin. This continues all around until Melody has a bowl cut, which looks lovely. After a few photos she takes her seat again. The zero clippers buzz off the bowl cut. If we were in our shop we would then shave smooth with shaving cream and a straight razor. We had neither and I was a bit concerned with Jessa's experience, or the lack there of. I use a rotary razor to shave my face and we tried it in Melody. Sure enough this took Melody's clipper shave to pretty damn smooth. And Jessa got some experience shaving a woman smooth. She really enjoyed the experience as did Melody.
